General Lord Dannatt Keynote Speaker at SLC
The Strategic Leadership Consultation, hosted by Next Wave International, will feature special keynote speaker General Lord Dannatt, GCB, CBE, MC, DL, former head of the British Army, decorated soldier and widely respected statesman of Christian faith.
For the past 14 years, the annual SLC summit has brought together leaders of church networks and national faith-based organisations across Europe, for strategic discussions on the future direction of Europe's major centres. The emphasis is on producing positive change.
 Mal Fletcher, founder and host of the summit, says: 'We are deeply honoured to have General Lord Dannatt joining us in person.'
'There is perhaps nobody in Europe who is better qualified to speak to Christian leaders on bold, strategic leadership.'
As heard of the British Army, during campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, General Lord Dannatt boldly stood up to his Prime Minister and other politicians whom he felt were not supporting his troops. This type of stand is typical of his approach to leadership.
Whatever the pressures on him, General Lord Dannatt has always maintained a strong, uncompromising and open Christian faith.
'Our society has always been embedded in Christian values,' he says. 'Once you have pulled the anchor up there is a danger that our society moves with the prevailing wind.'
This event provides a very rare opportunity for European leaders to hear, question and interact with such a high-ranking and uncompromising Christian leader, in an intimate networking environment.
