Strategy Summit For Europe
'The Church wasn't designed to exist at the edges of society, irrelevant and unnoticed!' says Mal Fletcher, founder and host of the annual Strategic Leadership Consultation, a unique summit of European church and church network leaders, which meets to discuss Europe's future and how it can be shaped for the better through the Christian message.
'Some say that Europe is "post-Christian"', says Mal. 'Actually in many ways it's pre-Christian again, and ready for the positive influence of a proactive, creative and alive church.'
'More than ever, the church needs a vibrant voice that creatively engages the culture and reshapes it in a positive direction. The SLC event is all about addressing that challenge - with creativity, compassion and courage.'
The SLC09: Mapping the Road Ahead event will bring together leaders from 15 nations across Europe, for a unique think-tank summit, which looks at strategic plans for moving Europe forward in the power of the Christian message.
This year's special guest contributors include renowned contemporary theologian and cultural evangelist Winkie Pratney, leader of the Australian Christian Lobby, Jim Wallace and others.
Last year marked the tenth anniversary of this unique round-table of event, which has helped significant Christian leaders to redefine the aims and practical strategies of their churches and ministries.
'As the name suggests,' says Mal Fletcher, 'the emphasis at this summit is not on inspiration, motivation, or general leadership skills.'
'The focus is on strategy and networking amongst major church and church network leaders.'
The Strategic Leadership Consultation is an invitation only event and numbers are strictly limited, but Next Wave International welcomes enquiries from leaders of churches and church networks (e-mail: networks@nextwaveonline.com).

Mal spoke at Hillsong Church, Paris team meeting yesterday & I was so challenged to look beyond my limitations & tap into the unlimited power of God to make a difference in Paris. Thanks Mal! for being such a great vessel for the body of Christ.

Hi Mal, Re: megachurch church vs a more organic model: I know God works regardless of how we think he should but it seems that the organic way is more appealing to the average person than the marketing of Jesus...

Mal, great article on the leader of Britain's army. I was having the same discussion earlier today, came to my PC and found you backed up everything I had said! Keep up the incredible work!
