What's Wrong With Christian Media?
WHAT'S WRONG (& right) WITH CHRISTIAN MEDIA?
This question was posed by Mal Fletcher in a somewhat controversial speech to the Christian Broadcasting Council (UK) last week.
You can hear the speech, and read the full transcript, right here on this site.
'Why do we claim that we want to speak to unbelievers when the fund-raising techniques we use drive unbelievers away?'
'Why do we hire salesman-like fund-raising specialists who often distort scripture to bring in the cash?'
These are among the sharp questions Mal asks his audience of Christian producers and broadcasters from across the UK.
There's a lot to inspire, as well as challenge!
Olave Snelling, chairperson for the CBC, said in a letter to Mal: 'What you had to say was, as ever, so timely, measured, important for the Body of Christ and spoken with all the integrity and power of the Holy Spirit behind it. You carry such authority in the Lord and speak such absolute "sense"...'
So don't miss it.

A great article on 'Hybrid Stem Cell Research'! It is not only highly relevant to current research but also shows how just a little initial compromise will eventually cause an unstoppable downslide in ethical standards with irreversible outcomes.

I'm in the British Army and a very strong practicing Christian. Everything inside me is screaming ... we are now having to have multi-faith prayer rooms. Where will it end?
