Church Planters Meet
The Christian Growth International network recently sponsored an event to encourage building significant churches across Europe and beyond.
The network, pioneered and led by Pastors Rick and Bev Murrill, has affiliated churches across the UK, the USA and on the European mainland, with links into Australia. The leadership has a strong vision for church planting.
Mal Fletcher was special guest speaker for the conference, held in Christian Growth Centre, Chelmsford, Essex. He spoke about ‘The Church of 2020’, posing the question: ‘What kind of church will have influence in the next fifteen years if the culture continues to move in the direction it is now?’
Delegates had come from across the UK and parts of the USA, Europe and Australia.
Pastors Rick and Bev Murrill are originally from Australia but felt led to England in 1995, where they joined forces with an old Baptist church in Chelmsfored to form a new entity, Christian Growth Centre.
Since then the church has grown and now has a venue for several hundred people, with plans for greater growth in both size and influence. The church is now pastored by Paul and Lis Gutteridge, who have a strong evangelistic drive.

I truly appreciate Mal's words of encouragement. I'm looking forward to his return to Speak the Word Church, USA, this May. He left quite an impression on his last visit. Keep up the good work.
