Hillsong London Over 8000
Within the church world, many people are already aware of the growth and influence of the Hillsong Church and Conference in Sydney, Australia.
Over the past two or three years, however, a growing number of people have become aware of the fast-growing Hillsong Church in London.
Earlier this year, the church moved past the 8000 mark in weekend attendance, which makes it one of the largest churches in Britain and Europe. Yet is shows no signs of complacency or slowing down to enjoy the view.
Mal Fletcher recently spoke in the church over a full weekend -- six meetings in all. He was once again impressed with the passion of the place.
'I've been speaking to the Hillsong family since its early days in Sydney,' says Mal. 'I know that Pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston always wanted to see a Hillsong Church in London. Now the vision is being fulfilled under the leadership of Pastor Gary Clarke and a very gifted and dedicated team.'
'What many people fail to understand is that churches like this are not built on high-profile pastors or even great worship teams. They're built on the passion and commitment of the people who make up the church.'
'Hillsong London is growing every week -- because of the commitment of its people to pray for and bring their friends.'
During the weekend, Mal presented two high-powered (and often very funny!) messages entitled: 'Neo-Generation Pioneers' and 'Overcoming A Climate Of Fear'.
You can hear and, if you like, download both of these sessions for your iPod, at our audio page.

Hi, just thought you might like to know that I've placed one of Mal Fletcher's videos from YouTube, 'Heaven/Hell', on my website. Appreciate your web pages.

Re: 'The Cashless Society' TV show... with rising crime rates & the threat of terrorism many people would welcome RFID technology, the cashless society & one world government to solve our problems. Should we be more aware of what they might be getting themselves into?

I absolutely agree with you Mal on the danger of elevating of our leaders. There is something in man to want 'a king'. It's present in our current celebrity culture. It's curious when we see it in the world and it's pathetic when we see it in Christendom.
