Spanish Forum: Major Meeting of Euro Hearts and Minds
Ninety of Europe's major Christian leaders came together from 16 nations in April to look at what the future has in store for Europe.
These leaders, representing larger churches and networks of churches, came together over two generations.
The Strategic Leadership Consultation featured discussions relating to senior pastors and ministry leaders. The EYE network brought in GenX leaders of the new generations. Both meetings featured strategic discussions, small group networking and some great time of informal resource-sharing under the warm Spanish sun.
These two network meetings occur annually under the leadership of Mal Fletcher, the founder/director of Next W@ve International.
An added bonus at this year's event was the one-day special visit of Reinhard Bonnke, regarded by many as the world's leading evangelist today. Bonnke has seen millions -- yes, millions -- come to Christ in the last few months alone, as he continues to preach to huge crowds in Africa.
He brought a very powerful message to the leadership of Europe. Often quoted as saying (or shouting!), 'Africa will be saved...', Bonnnke turned this around: 'Africa IS being saved -- Europe WILL be saved!'
The next meeting of these two key networks will occur in Amsterdam, May 2003.

Mal, thankyou for provoking me to think more. Your ministry is giving people a real wake up call, provoking Christians to seriously think about how we ought to be responding to issues like celebrity.

Iron sharpens Iron. Even though your Daily Recharge sometimes wakes me up quicker than coffee, I love the "sharp" way you work for God.

Your book on The Pioneer Spirit contains great truth and inspiration. It gives great practical advice about how to use or develop a pioneer spirit and get the vision into a reality. I believe everything you’ve written is worth reading and passing on to others.
