Brisbane Change2020 Event
What major changes will the next decade bring for Australia's major cities?
What will new developments in digital media communications bring in terms of social capital and community cohesion
These were just two of the major questions discussed by Mal Fletcher in a presentation to community and civic leaders in Brisbane in September.
The Change2020 event brought together community leaders from a variety of city projects within Brisbane and beyond, all of whom were anxious to know how to turn future change into a value-adding commodity for their communities and organizations.
After the event, Mal said: 'This was the first even of its kind hosted by my friends at Brisbane City Church. This church has already established an outstanding reputation for its work in community regeneration - especially among Brisbane's poorest and refugees.'
'So, it was good to stand with them as they provided a new service to civic leaders across the spectrum of the city's life.'
A follow-up event is now in the planning phase, scheduled for mid- to late 2010. Watch this site for more.

The strength of EDGES is that it explains it's argument in logical steps without the usual emotive language. If all the logical steps are present and correct, it is difficult to disagree with the point being made whether you are a Christian or not. You give a balanced argument.

Rocknations went to another level this year: it was rocking. The bands were awesome, the messages were life-changing, challenging me to live God loud. It's amazing when God shows up at a place.

Great to hear those 80s songs (that blessed so many back then). 'To share God's love in music and word' is a great calling. I guess there's no time for a new album?!
