Among many highlights of last week's Strategic Leadership Consultation, SLC08:MAINSTREAM, in Spain, was the premier of a new TV interview with renowned British social activist Steve Chalke, MBE.
In a wide ranging talk on varied subjects such as leadership, politics, social inclusion and more, Mal Fletcher quizzed Steve on his philosophy of life and service.
Steve revealed, in a very honest way, his own struggles with the burdens of leadership through the years, and some of the principles he's learned which have helped him survive and continue to pioneer new approaches and ideas.
One key statement, which caught the attention of everyone at the SLC summit, was this: 'Vision and frustration are really the same thing... If you're not frustrated you've run out of vision.'
