Hope City Delivers Hope!
The Hope City Church in Sheffield continues to break through barriers in its community care and outreach work. The church has planted other churches across the region, covering Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester.
During a recent visit to Sheffield, Mal Fletcher spoke to a special outreach event which brought together members of the four Hope City churches spread across the region. The event was held in the Hallam university, with three venues using TV simulcast of Mal's preaching. Pastor Dave Gilpin, senior pastor of the church, is also seeing solid growth in the S4 leadership network throughout the region which he also leads. Mal says, 'Hope City is living up to its name. It's bring a sense of hope and a better future to a city that needs it.'
'Dave and his team are really creative, on-the-edge strategic thinkers. I love what they stand for!'
'The Sunday night event in the university building was a highlight for me,' adds Mal. 'I've travelled to much of the world over the last 20 or so years and I have not seen too many people attempting such a media-savvy live event from a local church base. I congratulate Dave and his excellent team!'
During the weekend, Mal also spoke to the main church in Sheffield, and to university students at the ShoutLouder Conference.
The church is also the home of Glyn Barratt, director of the Audacious youth event and Youth Alive UK, which incorporates Revolution Radio.

Every morning when I read Daily Recharge, God speaks to me so clearly through His word! I am so encouraged. Keep up the great work!

I absolutely agree with you Mal on the danger of elevating of our leaders. There is something in man to want 'a king'. It's present in our current celebrity culture. It's curious when we see it in the world and it's pathetic when we see it in Christendom.

Mal, I saw you at Hillsong London and since then have visited your site a few times. Really enjoy your work. Very useful insights and content.
