Euro Youth Events Roundup - Recent Events
HELSINKI
Youth Alive Helsinki reported its best event to date on Saturday November 6.
Mika Yrjola, leader of the events, said afterwards: 'We had the biggest crowd yet: around 1.200 (over 800 tickets sold at the door). The Youth Alive Band had it together - Rommy led in awesome worship and people really got into with songs like Jesus Freak (DC Talk), I'm not ashamed of the Gospel (Delirious), and some awesome worship songs that really made it easy for me to step in and preach...'
Twenty people came to Christ for the first time.
These events were started two years ago by Mika and a team of local leaders and churches in cooperation with Next Wave International.
COPENHAGEN
Copenhagen Youth Alive also reports a major success with its event one week earlier. Over 11o young people made first-time commitments to follow Jesus in what was one of this city's breakthrough events. Special guests were the Youth Alive Sydney band from Australia and speaker Christine Caine, who heads up Youth Alive in NSW, Australia.
Dan Sørensen, leader of Youth Alive Denmark, reported that this was definitely one of the city's best events to date (started 4 years ago). Over 900 tickets were sold and the new Copenhagen Christian Culture Centre was really alive!
Please continue to pray for these events and their leaders in the following cities: - Amsterdam - Stockholm - Helsinki - Copenhagen - Dublin - Tallinn (Estonia) - Trondheim (Norway)

The Daily Recharge has really changed my life!

I absolutely agree with you Mal on the danger of elevating of our leaders. There is something in man to want 'a king'. It's present in our current celebrity culture. It's curious when we see it in the world and it's pathetic when we see it in Christendom.

Mal, I saw you at Hillsong London and since then have visited your site a few times. Really enjoy your work. Very useful insights and content.
